Querida Praga,

Te escribo para darte las gracias.

Debo reconocer que este viaje fue tan improvisado como bien planeado y que pese a la larga espera, fue una historia de amor que no decepcionó.

Lo nuestro funcionó desde el primer instante.

Dear Prague,

I wanted to send you a thank you note.

I must admit that this trip was as improvised as properly planned and despite the long wait, the love story didn’t disappoint.

We just clicked from the very first moment.

Perdón por las horas a las que aterricé. Pese a todo, te agradezco que me guardaras el último baile.

Apologies for the time I got there. Despite that, I appreciate that you saved the last dance for me.

El más íntimo. Mano a mano recorriendo la ciudad lentamente en una primera citadifícil de olvidar. Un amor a primera vista que se hizo sentir como si se hubiera forjado mucho antes.

Me entregaste todas tus galas alrededor de cada puente, cada esquina. Por allá donde la fría brisa de octubre nos llevaba siempre posaste con tu mejor sonrisa.

The closest dance. Hand in hand we walked the city on a first date I will never forget. This love at first sight felt forged long time ago. You delivered your finest around every bridge, around every corner. Always with your best smile regardless of where the cold October breeze was taking us.

Gracias por un fin de semana perfecto. Pese a que intenté aguantar el intenso envite, me acabaste desmontando con cada historia que me contabas.

Thank you for a perfect weekend. Even though I tried to cope with it, you dismantled me with every story you told .

Tus calles. Entregadas en pequeñas dosis de arquitectura clásica y contemporánea por igual. Simples o barrocas composiciones, que ancladas en el pasado o mirando el presente devolvían fascinantes gamas de colores o se escondían en bellas escalas monocromáticas.

Your streets. Delivered in equal doses of classic and contemporary architecture. Simple or baroque compositions which either anchored in the past or looking at today, were returning a wonderful gamut of colours or hiding behind beautiful monochromatic ranges.

Imposible no detenerse a tomar aire y recobrar el pulso antes de seguir inmortalizándote desde todas las perspectivas desde las que te miraba.

Impossible not to stop and take a breath to try pull myself together before capturing you again from all possible perspectives.

Antes de irme, te dejo algunas instantáneas que me encantaron, en las que pareces no envejeciste nunca.

Before leaving, let me just drop some snaps I loved, where you look like you never got old.

Aunque todo sea dicho, a plena luz del día o cerrando tus ojos, Praga seguirás siendo eterna. Hasta pronto.
